Nizamuddin Dargah is a dargah for one famous Sufi Saint, Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya. It is situated in West Delhi, and thousands of pilgrims visit this place each week. The area is very famous for its music session during the evening time.
The descendants take care of this place and look after the whole management. A treasurer and Mir Bakshi of Akbar and Jahangir Empire, Nawab Syed Farid Murtaza Bukhari, built the pearl white dome situated above. Most of the Sufi saints visit this area from around the world.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Story/biography
Nizamuddin Dargah Delhi is a sacred place open for all Sufi Saints. It was formed after Nizamuddin Auliya, who was a Chisti Order and was born in 1238 in Badayun. His father, Syed Abdullah Bin Ahmad, died when he was just five years old. Later he went to Delhi along with his mother, Zulekha.
There Nizamuddin taught people to maintain a lovely and peaceful life teaching. After that, he planned to settle down in Ghiyaspur. But before his final settlement, Hazrat Nizamuddin had lived in Delhi at various places. The primary teaching in his work involved that people should love each other with love and peace. His primary mission was to carry out this message of God to the people. And thus, he became a true heir as a messenger.
People still believe that Hazrat Nizamuddin is still spreading peace and love around the world. He kept on serving everyone around him, and for his creed, caste, religion, and culture never matter. He has two leading followers, Amir Khusro and Nasiruddin Mahmud Chiragh Dehlavi.
He filled people with wisdom and spirituality with his teachings. Once people reach this dargah, they feel the satisfaction of the mind, soul, and heart. And later, he established an impressive and famous Hermitage named Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah.
Hazrat Nizamuddin died on 3 April 1325 during morning time. And today, Nizamuddin Auliya ki Dargah is situated in Delhi, and the structure was built-in 1562. He got buried under this Dargah.
Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah Miracles
Nizamuddin Auliya is very famous for his significant steps and teachings to the people. People believed him as their God. Nizmuddin Dargah is very famous because people feel refreshed visiting this place. There are many miracles for which he is very remarkable.
In the hopeless condition of Hazrat Maulana Wajihuddin, he went to live in Hazrat Nizamuddin Khanqah for bringing a change in his life. There Nizamuddin Auliya ate laddoos with him taking these sweet balls from some mureeds. These Methi sweet balls acted to cure tuberculosis of Maulana Wajihuddin.
Sultan Feroz Shah-bin-Salaar once met Nizamuddin Auliya once he came to pay homage to Aulia. There he got blessings from Nizamuddin that he will live a long life with a lot of wealth and power. These all three things made him live for 90 years with much wealth and power.
A special meeting was set up by Nizamuddin Aulia for his followers. He planned it for 50-60 people. But the problem arose when thousands of people joined him, and Nizamuddin never let his mureeds move without food. However, he asked his attendant to make chapati into four pieces and to arrange food for ten people for one time. This led him to serve food to thousands of followers.
House of a Jagirdar caught fire and turned into ash once. Jagirdar came to Delhi in search of his new Firman but went through difficulty to have it. Then while returning to home, he even lost his new Firman too. Then Jagirdar went to Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya for the help of tracing Firman.
Nizamuddin asked him to offer Niyaz for the sake of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin. He will solve his problems. Jagirdar agreed to do so and bought sweets for Niyaz. And he covered these sweets with the paper.
He took these sweets to Nizamuddin and unwrapped paper in front of him and found the lost Firman for which he was much upset. With this, he believed in his miracles and touched his feet for showing gratitude. Thus people believe him and visit to pay gratitude in Nizamuddin Dargah.

Nizamuddin Dargah Architecture
Considering the structure of the Dargah, it has halls that surround one squared chamber. The decoration is done with an arch opening. The dome presented in the top and the top of Nizamuddin Dargah Delhi is of white marbles along with black marbles stripes.
It has a lotus crest, which is the heart of Dargah. In 1605, one more tomb was built for the name of Amir Khusro. On the sandstone, there are carvings of Persian dates. To enter Amir’s tomb, one has to go through a big wooden door. This tomb was constructed in the 14th century.
There are many other large and small tombs present in the Dargah. The West Nizamuddin part of the Dargah is Jamaat Khana Masjid made up of red sandstone. It is the part of Dargah with all types of tombs large and small. The lotus bud covers the arches of the monument. The son of Alauddin Khilji constructs the mosque and also it has been the oldest complex structure.
However, with the change in time, the walls of the Dargah are covered with the paintings. The caretaker of the Dargah, Hasan Nizami accidentally put on a scratch on the wall, and there he found many dates written in Persian language and more information engraved on the sandstone.
Outer area of the Dargah has one Ataga Khan Tomb with an attractive structure built all around thickly lais with the coloured tiles and marble. Faridun Khan, a nobleman during the rule of Akbar built this Structure in the year 1562.
Nizamuddin Dargah Rules

Women cannot enter beyond Verandah but can watch through marble Jali. It is because women cannot touch him as he remained unmarried for the complete life.
The grave of Hazrat Nizamuddin is covered with Chaddar and flowers present inside the Dargah.
Thursday of every week is celebrated as a particular day.
For each person, he must enter the Dargah with his head covered. Thus it advisable to carry your dupatta, stole, or some cloth piece.
