Jhandewalan Mandir: Jhandewalan Hanuman Mandir All Information

It is one of the most beautiful temples ever made in this world. It is situated in Delhi. It is having the giant statue of the hanuman which is almost 108 feet long. It can be seen from the Jhandewalan and Karol Bagh metro station very easily. This temple was made in the year 2008 by the Brahamleen Nagabba Shri Sevagir Ji Maharaj. He was one of the devotees of Hanuman Ji.

This temple took 13 years to complete the internal structure. This temple is known for its aesthetic design. The front entrance is made in such a way of the open mouth of the monster. This is designed to showcase the monsters that came into the life of hanuman and he defeated them all. Various events are organized on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The temple is decorated on the Hanuman Jayanti, Navratri, Shivratri, and many more festivals.

The main attraction of this mandir is the flame that has been brought from the Jwala Ji mandir which is situated in Himachal Pradesh. It is also having other houses for God and goddesses like the goddess of Dwarka, Sai Baba, and many more. The mandir is divided into three floors.

Architecture:

The hanuman statue is almost 108 feet long. It is the second biggest statue in the world. It is having a corridor in the shape of the monster mouth from which the people have to enter. Beside the statue of hanuman, there is an image of Lord Rama and Sita. These images are made in the open chest of the hanuman.

History:

The area in which the temple is made was known by the name Jhandewalan during the 18th century because of the prayer flags. In the 18th century, a merchant named Badri das visited that area very often. While he was digging in that area, he found the Jhandewali Mata statue. The hands of Mata statue were damaged and he attaches the hand of steel. The Mata statue is situated in the basement and is known as the mother goddess of the cave.

Ground floor:
On the ground floor, there are various statues of the goddess and gods. The first one is Lord Rama, Lord Lakshman, and goddess Sita. Beside these statues is having a lord shiva and goddess Parvati is also made. On this floor, various prayers are also written so that the people visiting the temple learn and speak those mantras and thanks for the good life.

Basement:
On the first floor, the goddess Durga statue is built. This floor is also having the full working on the Samudra Manthan story. On one side there are monsters and, on another side, there are gods. They both are fighting for the Amrit which would be produced. The poison that was produced during that time was drunken by lord shiva. This floor is also having the maharaja JI Pratima who made this temple. It is having the mother goddess of the cave.

1st floor:
This floor is having the statue of the Mata Mahishasura Mardani. The statue is located in the middle and it is having carvings on the wall which is increasing the beauty of the 1st floor.

2nd floor:
It is having the statue of the Panch Mukhi hanuman. It is made so beautiful. This floor is having the statue of Lord Krishna and goddess Radha. The next one is having the statue of the Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The third one is having the statue or the idol of the Sai Baba.

Best time to visit the temple:

The visitors should visit the temple on Tuesday and Saturday. Jhandewalan mandir timings are 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This temple is located near the Jhandewalan metro station. The visitors may also visit this temple at any festival.

How to reach?

Hanuman mandir Jhandewalanis was built near the metro station. It is very much easy to visit this temple for the old persons. It is the very shortest distance from the metro station you may walk to cover the smallest distance.

Jhandewalan mandir is the most beautiful and the statue of Hanuman is the second largest in the world. The hanuman idol is having the lord Rama and goddess Sita in the chest. The chest is open and closed on Tuesday and Saturday during the time of prayers. The visitors can visit this temple on these two days.
