With the help of Thrillophilia, I got to surprise my best friend on her birthday and it was the best feeling ever.
It has been two years since I left my home and have been staying in Bangalore because of work. On 4th April it was my best friend, Avantika’s birthday and the other friends were planning a trip to Arunachal Pradesh to celebrate.
Avantika asked me to come but I said that I was not getting any leaves. But the fact was that I had something else planned for her. Secretly, I was in touch with one of my other friends, Shreya, who kept informing me of everything they were planning. They booked the ‘Discovering Arunachal Pradesh’ package for 7 days and 6 nights from Thrillophilia and so did I. Before booking, I had also read a lot of positive Thrillophilia reviews of Arunachal trip which got me even more excited.
Both Shreya and I were in contact with the company’s representative who helped us book the package. We also let him in our plan and asked to keep my arrival a secret. We had also asked for a few other small surprises for Avantika’s birthday, hoping that Thrillophilia does not mess it up.
Surprises, Giggles and a Reunion
Our trip started from Guwahati and they reached an hour before me. The first surprise for Avantika was a rose and a sticky-note, saying “This journey is going to be full of surprises for you, Happy Birthday in advance!” The note and the rose was given to her by the driver, right outside the airport.
The next surprise was of course ME!
With tears in my eyes and a huge rose bouquet in my hand, I rang the hotel room’s bell. As planned, no one in the room got up to open the door, so eventually Avantika had to come see who it was. She opened the door and I shouted with a shaky voice, “Happy Birthday!” She literally jumped on me and we both fell on the floor.
The next day was her birthday and we were out to explore the beautiful Dirang. Time for the third surprise, we had requested Thrillophilia to decorate our room and arrange a butterscotch cake with a bottle of champagne. As soon as we reached back to our hotel, Avantika opened the door and flower petals started falling from the top. Not just Avantika but we all were pretty surprised as we had not asked for this. But it was a beautiful gesture. Next, we saw that the room was decorated with balloons, candles and a huge Happy Birthday sticker. There was also a cake on the table, along with a bottle of champagne and some flowers. The arrangements were more than what we had expected.
That was all of the surprises Avantika got on her birthday. All thanks to Thrillophilia for listening to our requests and doing everything perfectly.
I would also like to mention about the amazing places we got to see in this review of Arunachal tour with Thrillophilia. We got to cover many beautiful cities such as Bhalukpong, Dirang, Tawang, Bomdilaa and Guwahati. Not just that, we also enjoyed fun activities like river rafting, shopping from Tawang’s local market, and swimming at Nuranang Falls.
